This 2001 Fender Custom Shop '56 Stratocaster is a beautiful example of an early Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster, with period correct late '50s appointments 'New Old Stock' style finish. These guitars are not often seen left handed, so this is somewhat of a rarity. The neck features a late '50s soft V style profile and is a beautiful piece of flamed maple. The body is finished in a sleek black lacquer, and the late '50s spec hand wound Custom Shop pickups have the typical bell-like chime of a true vintage 1950's Stratocaster.
This guitar is in very good condition, and complete with the tweed case that they shipped with in the early 2000's, although it does not include its floor traveller or a physical certificate. Although we believe initially intended as an NOS model, it does now sport some lacquer checking and play wear through use over the years.
This banjo has benefitted from a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and also includes a 2 year warranty.
