First introduced in the late 1990s, the 15 Series from C. F. Martin & Co. offered players a stripped back, all mahogany acoustic with a warm, focused voice and understated styling. The 000 15M quickly became one of the most popular models in the range, pairing the comfortable 000 body shape with Martin’s traditional construction and craftsmanship.
This 1999 Martin 000 15M is built with a solid mahogany top along with solid mahogany back and sides, producing a warm, woody tone with strong midrange presence and excellent balance across the strings. The lightweight build and scalloped X bracing give the guitar a lively and responsive feel that suits both fingerstyle playing and light flatpicking.
Typical specifications include a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and bridge, simple dot inlays and open gear tuners, all in keeping with the model’s understated aesthetic. This example has been buffed to a gloss finish, giving it a more vintage correct look, and is supplied with its original case.
