The American Vintage Reissue instruments are widely regarded as some of Fender’s finest modern-era creations, celebrated for their faithful attention to detail and dedication to replicating classic designs. This 1999 American Vintage Reissue '62 Jazzmaster captures the character and specifications of the early '60s originals, offering players a genuinely period-correct feel and sound.
First released in 1958 and refined into its well-known early '60s form, the Jazzmaster was originally aimed at the high-end surf market, though its distinctive looks and wide, expressive tonal range later earned it a devoted following among alternative and indie musicians. This '62 reissue reflects the defining features of that era, including the vintage style pickups, traditional switching layout and rhythm circuit, and the early '60s neck carve with its laminated rosewood fingerboard and small dot inlays. The maple neck features a classic early '60s profile paired with a 7.25" radius, delivering the familiar, comfortable feel associated with Fender’s vintage offset guitars.
This guitar is in very good condition with only minor cosmetic signs of play wear. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
