This 1998 Fender Japan CIJ '68 Reissue Stratocaster is the perfect example of a Japanese made Fender, faithfully recreating the post CBS large headstock Strat's of the late 1960's, featuring the larger headstock shape and what would have been a custom order Maple cap fingerboard on an original vintage example. This guitar features a 4 bolt Maple neck, and comfortable chunky 'C' shaped profile. The pickups have all the chime, clarity and vintage grit you would expect from a USA made Stratocaster, thanks primarily to the factory fitted Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pickups, with Alnico 5 magnet and a hotter overall output. This guitar is finished off with a vintage style bridge, reproduction 'F' stamped tuners, and a period correct 3 tone sunburst.
This guitar is in very good, original condition, with only minimal play wear to speak of. As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a thorough service by theĀ Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 2 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
