Japanese made Fender instruments have long been the go-to for musicians looking for guitars with vintage Fender tone and style that won't cost as much as their USA made counterparts. Guitars made by Fender Japan in the '80s & '90s have become somewhat collectible in their own right, with an amazing build quality for the price. This 1996 Fender Japan Stratocaster was part of a range of instruments produced that year celebrating the 50th anniversary of the companies inception, and features a mixture of '50s and '60s style specs. The alder body is fitted with a set of three vintage voiced Alnico single coil pickups, and finished in a 3 tone sunburst with 3 ply pick guard, while the maple neck features a chunky 'C' shape profile.
