Jerry Donahue is one of a number of players to have had a lifelong association with the Telecaster, with his own modified original models being the key ingredient to his signature sound over the years. This 1995 Fender Custom Shop Jerry Donahue Signature Telecaster brought his exact specifications together in a production model for the first time, showcased with the kind of craftsmanship the Custom Shop is so renowned for. Featuring a Swamp Ash body with a beautifully figured Birdseye Maple top, this Telecaster is finished in a vibrant 3 tone sunburst. The birdseye Maple neck is one of the most highly figured we have seen, and features a comfortable soft 'V' neck profile shaped to Jerry Donahues own spec. The body is fitted with a set of Jerry Donahue's own custom spec Seymour Duncan pickups, with a vintage voiced hot output that retains all the typical Tele twang and attack, paired with a five way selector switch for maximum tonal versatility. Other features include all gold hardware, and at some point the pickguard was signed by Jerry Donahue himself.
This guitar is in excellent condition, and is internally and externally original. This guitar has been given a full service & appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop. This guitar also includes a 3 year warranty.
