The Fender Custom Shop has long been the pinnacle of modern guitar manufacturing, offering both period correct vintage reissues and more modern takes on classic Fender models, finished with the highest attention to detail. This 1994 Fender Custom Shop 40th Anniversary Stratocaster is one of the rarer Custom Shop instruments of the '90s, and is #12 of 40 produced to mark the 40th anniversary of the Stratocaster model.
This run of guitars were handmade under the direction of Ray Minhinett at Fender, with only the best woods and hardware used. The Alder body is fitted with a set of Custom Shop hand wound pickups, while the Maple neck he Maple neck features a '57 style Soft 'V' profile with one of the most intensely figured grain patterns we have seen on a Custom Shop guitar. The hardware is 24k plated gold, with the neck and back plates displaying an engraving marking the anniversary occasions and limited edition nature of the model
This guitar is in excellent cosmetic condition, with only very minor signs of the guitar having been played. This guitar also includes its original tweed custom shop case and all related case candy.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
