This 1993 Squier Silver Series Stratocaster, made in Japan at the renowned FujiGen factory, is part of a highly respected era in Squier’s history—where affordability met exceptional craftsmanship. Often sought after for their quality and vintage feel, Silver Series models are now considered modern classics in their own right.
The guitar features a basswood body finished in a range of period-correct colours (typically Black, Olympic White, or Sunburst), paired with a maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. The neck has a comfortable modern C-shape with a 7.25" radius and vintage-style frets, offering a smooth and familiar playing experience that echoes classic early Stratocasters.
Equipped with three ceramic single-coil pickups, the Silver Series Strat delivers bright, snappy tones with a focused midrange—ideal for clean rhythm work, blues leads, and classic rock textures. It also retains vintage-style hardware, including a 6-screw tremolo bridge, stamped saddles, and Gotoh-style tuners.
This 1993 example remains in original condition, with the “Made in Japan” mark on the neck heel and headstock back—features that distinguish it from later production runs.
