Founded in the mid-1960s, Greco quickly established itself as one of Japan’s leading guitar makers, producing instruments that closely mirrored classic American designs while often matching or surpassing them in craftsmanship. By the late 1980s and early 1990s, the brand’s 'Mint Collection' had perfected these designs, offering players exceptional build quality, authentic vintage tone, and meticulous attention to detail at a far more accessible price than the originals.
This 1990 Greco EGC-550 from the 'Mint Collection' is a refined Japanese-made Les Paul Custom-style instrument, built with a solid mahogany body, maple top, and a bound ebony-style fingerboard with block inlays. Equipped with its original Greco humbuckers, it is finished in classic black with gold hardware and multiple layers of binding.
This guitar is in excellent condition and is internally externally original with the exception of two changed pots. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
