Starting out in the mid-1960s producing solid-body and acoustic models, Greco expanded rapidly during the guitar boom of the following decade, offering an extensive range aimed largely at the domestic market. Many of these instruments bore a strong resemblance to their American counterparts, and over time Greco has become renowned for its impressive build quality and value for money, offering players a genuine vintage experience without the high-end price.
This 1988 Greco EJR59 is a perfect example, manufactured in the Fuji-Gen factory as part of the 'Mint Collection' series of vintage reissue style models. With a mahogany body and neck and rosewood fretboard, these guitars feel every bit the Les Paul Junior double cutaway guitar that you are already familiar with. Fitted with a Greco made 'Hot Lick' P90, this EJR59 can cover a wealth of tones. Other features include Kluson style tuners, full sized Alpha pots, and a period correct celluloid style pick guard.
This guitar is in excellent condition, with no real play wear to speak of, and is free of any repairs. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
