Introduced as a limited edition model, and manufactured in small numbers between 1981 & 1985, the Guild D-70 is one of the most deluxe flat tops ever produced by the company, with fewer than 300 thought to be in existence. Constructed from a Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, the D-70 features hand tuned scalloped bracing for one of the most resonant Guild dreadnoughts we have heard. This 1982 Guild D-70 was manufactured in the Westerly, Rhode Island factory and includes other deluxe appointments like a bough ebony fretboard with pearl inlay, ebony bridge, and maple body binding.
This D-70 is in excellent condition, with some minor patina and signs of lacquer aging, but no real play wear to speak of. It is internally and externally original, and includes its original case.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
