This 1983 Fender '52 Reissue Telecaster is a fantastic example of the first generation of Japanese made Fender guitars, in as good condition as we have seen. Japanese Fenders from the early 1980's, known as 'JV' models, are some of the most revered instruments produced by the company in recent history, with a craftsmanship and attention to vintage specs that makes these instruments incredible value for money
This Fender Telecaster is a reissue of a 1952 'Blackguard' Telecaster, and incorporates many of the original guitars vintage features. This guitar is constructed from an Ash body and finished in a vintage butterscotch blonde lacquer, along with the black bakelite style pickguard. The body is fitted with a set of USA made, cloth wire single coil pickups, with a vintage tone that is voiced to accurately replicate the tonal profile of an original black bottom single coil pickup. The tinted gloss lacquer Maple neck has a comfortable slim 'C' style profile and the four bolt neck design. Other features include a 3 brass saddle bridge and Kluson style tuners, along with the original ashtray bridge cover.
This guitar is in excellent, original condition, with barely any signs of cosmetic wear to speak of. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
