The second variation of the Telecaster Custom was introduced in 1972, and was a landmark development for Fender, combining their wide range humbucker pickup and classic single coil bridge position sound, offering a level of versatility that proved hugely popular with players of the time. This model from 1978 features a slab body with three bolt neck design. The neck is comfortable and smooth to play, while the original Seth Lover designed Wide Range Humbucker pickup sounds fantastic, combing the fuller sound of a Gibson style humbucker with the brilliance and clarity of a typical Fender pickup.

This guitar is in very good condition, with only the most minor signs of play wear or lacquer discolouration to speak of. The original blonde finishes present and correct, as are the original frets and fretboard lacquer. All the electronics and pickups are original, with the pots dating to the 40th week of 1978. There has been some added shielding to the control cavity, and the control knobs have been replaced. Otherwise, this guitar is internally and externally original, and includes it's original orange lined hard case.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
