Greco emerged in the mid-1960s as one of Japan’s premier guitar makers, earning a reputation for producing instruments that closely emulated American models while often matching them in build quality and detail. By the late 1970s, the company had refined its designs, creating instruments with authentic vintage character and excellent craftsmanship at a more attainable level.

This 1977 Greco EGC-600 is a standout example of their Les Paul Custom style from this period. Crafted at the renowned FujiGen Gakki factory, it features a solid mahogany body with a carved maple top, a mahogany neck, and a bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays. Equipped with a pair of Greco humbuckers, gold hardware, multi-ply binding, and the classic open-book headstock, it offers the look, feel, and tonal character of a high-quality vintage custom, realised with Japanese precision.

This guitar is in very good condition with only minimal signs of play wear and no repairs. The original bridge and tailpiece have been replaced with more modern Gotoh equivalents, and the original control knobs have been changed. The pickup ring screws also appear newer. The wiring loom features full size pots and does not appear to have been modified.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
