A stunning example of vintage American acoustic craftsmanship, this 1974 Martin D-35 represents one of the most celebrated dreadnought designs ever produced. Known for its powerful voice, elegant styling, and distinctive three-piece back, the D-35 has long been a favourite amongst players.

Built in Nazareth, Pennsylvania during Martin’s highly regarded 1970s production period, this guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with East Indian rosewood back and sides, delivering the deep bass response, shimmering highs, and rich harmonic complexity that define the D-35 sound.

The model’s signature three-piece rosewood back not only adds visual character but also contributes to the instrument’s strong low-end presence and balanced projection, making it particularly well suited for strumming, flatpicking, and vocal accompaniment.

This particular D-35 is in excellent original condition, with almost no players wear - it's a fine example of a great 70's Martin. It has had a re-fret, a new saddle and nut, all of which aid its playability.

Includes its original blue Martin flight case.

As with all our guitars, it has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
