Westerly made Guild acoustics are some of the best vintage acoustic guitars on the market, with a near perfect balance between affordability and great vintage tone when compared to the pricier and more sought after guitars produced by Martin & Gibson. This 1974 Guild D25 is a great players dreadnought, and an excellent example of an affordable vintage acoustic.
This 1974 Guild D25 is an early example of a Rhode Island made Guild guitar, after the companies relocation from New Jersey in the late '60s. Constructed from a Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, this D25 features the pressed back design that was introduced around at some time in 1973. As with many old D25's, this guitar has a particularly resonant sound with plenty of volume, and is great for finger and flat picking alike.
This guitar is in very good condition, with a typical amount of play wear and patina to the finish. This guitar is all original, and includes a period chipboard case.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 3 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
