Often overlooked when compared with equivalent models from Gibson or Martin, Guild acoustics rank among some of the finest vintage guitars available, with their tone and build quality representing excellent value on the vintage market. This 1973 Guild D35 is a fantastic player’s dreadnought, offering an open, balanced voice with impressive volume and punch.
A strong example of a Westerly, Rhode Island built Guild, this D35 features a Spruce top paired with the flat cut Mahogany back used by the company during this period, before transitioning to the pressed back. The result is a warm, well balanced sound with plenty of projection, making it equally suited to strumming or flat picking.
This guitar is in very good condition, showing the kind of honest play wear and patina you would expect from an acoustic of this age. There is visible wear to both the top and back, along with some wear to the rear of the neck. This guitar also includes a period hard case.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 2 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
