Founded in the mid-1960s with a focus on solid-body and acoustic guitars, Greco quickly grew during the surge in demand of the following decade, introducing a broad catalogue primarily for the Japanese market. Many of these models closely mirrored popular American designs, even matching or exceeding the for quality in some cases. Over the years Greco has earned a lasting reputation for its excellent craftsmanship and exceptional value, delivering an authentic vintage character at a far more accessible price.

This 1973 Greco EG500 Gold Top is a fantastic example of an early '70s Greco made guitar. Based around the Les Paul deluxe models introduced in 1969, this guitar features a mahogany body with a maple top and rosewood fingerboard, and is fitted with a pair of Maxon made mini humbuckers.

This guitar is in good condition, with some nice ageing and patina to the gold finish and some light tarnishing to the hardware. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
