Produced in Japan during the 1970s, the Teisco Audition 'Mosrite' Bass reflects the company’s reputation for bold styling and accessible instruments that were widely exported to the US and UK. While positioned as a budget model, these basses are now appreciated for their distinctive design and raw, characterful sound.
This Audition Mosrite-style bass features an offset double cutaway body inspired by '60s Mosrite designs, finished in a classic solid colour typical of the period. It has a short scale length of approximately 30", paired with a bolt-on maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.
This bass is in very good condition for a 1970s Teisco, showing only minor play wear consistent with age. It remains internally and externally original and includes its original case.
As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
