Crafted in Japan during the golden age of Matsumoku production, this 1970s SG300 is a masterclass in vintage craftsmanship. Finished in a vibrant, classic Heritage Cherry, this instrument offers the iconic look, feel, and aggressive "growl" of an SG at a fraction of the cost of its American counterparts.
Known for their incredible attention to detail, these 70s Grecos are famous for having build quality that often rivaled the guitars they were emulating. The original humbuckers provide a punchy midrange and a biting bridge tone, perfect for classic rock, blues, and punk.
The neck is straight, the action is low and fast, and the frets retain plenty of life, offering that effortless SG playability that favors high-fret access and expressive lead work.
The instrument remains in original condition, with little signs of players wear.
As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
