This 1969 Gibson SG Junior is a great example of a later '60s accessible vintage Gibson, featuring a minimalist design that has made it a favourite tone tool for countless players over the years.

Carrying on the legacy of the Les Paul Junior that preceded it, the SG Junior offers versatility that belies its simplicity. Since debuting in 1954, these no-nonsense, pared-back Junior models have been trusted by a wide range of musicians, delivering a tone and playability that prove far more adaptable than you would think.

This guitar is in good condition for its age, with some obvious play wear to the mahogany body and rear of the mahogany neck, along with the expected level of patina and play wear to the darker cherry  stain finish. The soap bar P90 pickup and pots are correct and fully functioning, although unfortunately there are no readable pot codes. The hardware, including larger style pickguard, TPBR 8513 wraparound bridge and vibrato are original, although the vibrato arm is a replacement. The original tuners have also been replaced, although there are period correct Kluson style tuners now in place, and the headstock veneer for some reason removed at some point in the guitars history. Otherwise there appear to have been no repairs, and this guitar includes a period hard case.

This guitar has been given a full service & appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
