The Fender Precision Bass had firmly established itself by the late 1960s as one of the most important and widely used electric bass designs ever produced. Known for its straightforward controls, solid construction, and powerful split coil pickup sound, the Precision Bass became a staple of studio and live performance across virtually every style of music.

This 1969 Fender Precision Bass is a particularly clean example, finished in Sunburst with a rosewood fingerboard. The bass retains all of the classic late 1960s features associated with the model, including the original split coil pickup, chrome hardware, and traditional four bolt neck construction. The neck heel is dated 5 JUN 69 B, while the original potentiometers date to the 42nd week of 1966, reflecting Fender’s common practice of using earlier stock components during this period.

The instrument remains internally and externally original throughout and is notably lightweight for a late 1960s Precision Bass. Condition is excellent overall, showing only a few minor marks with very little evidence of regular player wear.
