This Fender Telecaster from 1968 is an excellent example of a late '60s Telecaster in a beautifully yellowed Blonde finish. This Telecaster features an Alder body and Maple neck with a comfortable 'C' shaped profile that is very comfortable in the hand, with the frets only having minimal wear. The FEB 68 neck date makes this one of the last examples of a custom order Maple cap fretboard Telecaster after Fender introduced the skunk stripe routed Maple neck as a standard option from 1969. The original single coil pickups feature all the clarity and top end you would expect from a telecaster bridge, with the traditional mellow sound from the neck position.

This guitar is in very good condition and is internally and externally original, with the original pickups untouched, and the original Stackpole pots dating to the 17th week of 1966. The finish has aged and checked nicely over the years, with only a couple of patches around the edge of the body showing any real play wear. All external hardware is original, including the 'F' stamped tuners, bridge, pickguard and knobs. This guitar has previously been refretted and has had some small areas of lacquer touch up on the fretboard as part of the process. This guitar also includes its original Fender case in equally as good condition.

This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
