Introduced in 1963 as a replacement for the LG-2 and LG-3 models in Gibson’s lineup, the Gibson B-25N retained much of the same construction as its predecessors. The B-25 took the place of the sunburst-finished LG-2, while the B-25N succeeded the natural-top LG-3. Built with an X-braced spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the B-25 also featured a larger, thicker celluloid pickguard, and a rosewood bridge with adjustable rosewood adjustable saddle. This 1967 Gibson B-25 is an excellent example of the model, offering a wide-open tone that shines whether played with a pick or fingerstyle, and finished in a vibrant Cherry Sunburst.
This guitar is in very good condition, with some lacquer checking and play wear, but nothing excessive. The bridge has previously had one corner re-glued, and the original tuners have been replaced, but it is otherwise original and free of any further repairs.
As with all vintage instruments, this B-25 has been given a full service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
