This 1965 Guild Starfire Bass is a great player grade example from the first production year, featuring a semi hollow laminated mahogany body paired with a set mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Its short 30½" scale and single bridge position Hagstrom made pickup pickup deliver a warm, thumpy tone with plenty of clarity and definition. Other features include the traditional Guild 'Chesterfield' headstock design, dual wooden thumb rests, and open gear tuners. This guitar also includes a non original case.
This guitar is in good condition, with some obvious patina and ageing to the the finish, primarily on the rear of the body. The electronics, finish and hardware are all original and in full working order. This guitar has previously suffered a headstock repair, which has been stress tested and is solid.
