This is a wonderful example of one of the less common Hofner Verithin models - the 'Model 65-3.' Manufactured in West Germany in 1965, this guitar features 3 pickups and a unique switching system for the Verithin model. Similar to Fender Jaguar, each pickup has its own on and off switch, although this model also features added tone shaping controls and a cut / boost circuit for the overall output. The body is the standard ultra-thinline design as found on all these models. As ever, these Hofner guitars are finished exceptionally well, with beautifully inlaid mother of pearl and tortoise shell fretboard inlays, multi ply body binding and ornate headstock inlay.
This guitar is in excellent all original condition and includes its original case.
