Introduced in 1963 as the successor to the LG-2, the Gibson B-25 carries forward much of its predecessor's design, with a few notable updates. This 1964 model features a Cherry Sunburst Spruce top with X bracing, paired with Mahogany back and sides that are beautifully stained in cherry. While the changes from the LG-2 are subtle, the B-25 stands out with its rich, resonant tone, whether played with a pick or fingers. It also features the slightly wider nut width used during this period.
This particular B-25 is in very good condition, showing only the expected signs of age, including lacquer checking and a lovely patina that enhances its vintage charm. The Cherry Sunburst finish still retains much of its vibrant red hue. All original components, including the tuners, plastic bridge, and thicker moulded pickguard remain intact and correct. The guitar comes with a period correct chipboard case.
