The Gibson ES-120T was introduced in 1962 as the companies student model electric arch top. This 1964 Gibson ES-120T is a great example of the model, and features a nicely flamed top, which is unusual for these instruments.

The thin line arch top body is fully hollow and features only one 'F' hole, with the other side of the top featuring a thicker, larger pick guard that houses all of the guitars electronics. The Melody Maker single coil pickup pairs nicely with the hollow body design, offering a familiar warm arch top tone that is a little brighter and cuts through a little more than other pickup options would. The mahogany set neck features a comfortable profile that is full feeling without being chunky.

This guitar is in excellent condition, with only minimal signs of play wear and patina. It is internally and externally original with the exception of the tuners, which have been replaced with a newer set of Kluson Deluxe Tulip tips. This guitar also includes a period Gibson chipboard case.

As with all our vintage instruments, this 1964 ES-120T has been given a full service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
