Gretsch guitars have always been renowned for their unique tone and style, and this 1963 Gretsch 6118 Anniversary model is a great example of both. Featuring a laminate maple body with a single FilterTron pickup in the neck position. The neck features thumbprint fretboard inlays, Anniversary headstock plate and a Bigsby Vibrato, all of which are synonymous with the signature style found on vintage Gretsch guitars.
This guitar is in good condition. There is play wear and wear to the finish, and it appears that the yellowed nitro clear coat has been worn through in places, making parts of the guitar look greener than others. The pickup is a replacement TV Jones Filtertron, and the Bigsby is an original '60s unit, but non original to the guitar. The tuners are also non original. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
