This 1961 Gibson Les Paul Junior is a great, player grade example of an SG body shape Les Paul signature model Junior from the first production year of what would come to be the SG body shape.
Constructed from a mahogany body and neck, this 1961 Les Paul Junior is light even by SG standards. It is incredibly lively and resonant, with a slim '61 neck profile that is effortlessly playable. The original 'Les Paul Junior' headstock decal is still visible and in good condition, with these models bearing the Les Paul name for a short time between 1961 and 1963.
This guitar is in good condition and has had some changes and repair work over the years. The guitar has been fully refinished in Pelham Blue with a light relic, expertly done by Rexter Gutiars. The tuners are original, with repro aged buttons, and the tailpiece and bridge posts have been replaced. This guitar also includes a non original case.
