An iconic piece of fuzz history, the 1968 Marshall Supa Fuzz delivers the searing tones that defined the sound of British rock. Housed in its distinctive angular enclosure - originally inspired by Olivetti adding machines - the Marshall Supa Fuzz was seen at the feet of the likes of Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix during the late 1960's.
Built during Marshall's collaboration with Sola Sound, this Supa Fuzz features the revered two-transistor Tone Bender MKII circuit loaded with 2 Mullard OC75 germanium transistors and a Thorn AC165 germanium transistor. This configuration produces a thick, harmonically rich fuzz with exceptional sustain and dynamic responsiveness. The mislabeled "Filter" control functions as a gain knob, allowing precise shaping of the fuzz intensity. This unit in particular seems to have an added harmonic quality that separates it from other similar Tonebenders from this period that we have played.
The pedal's rugged cast aluminum casing, finished in classic grey hammerite, houses gold-topped control knobs—echoing the aesthetic of Marshall's amplifiers from the era. Its simple yet effective layout offers intuitive control, making it a favourite among guitarists seeking that quintessential '60s fuzz tone.
As with all our vintage amps and pedals, this 1968 Marshall Supa Fuzz comes with a 3 month warranty.
