1960 Epiphone Century On Hold On Hold The Century model has been a mainstay in the Epiphone catalog since the late 1930's, and has gone through a variety of changes over the years. The Gibson acquisition of Epiphone gave us the most recognisable Century as we know it, essentially designed as an Epiphone equivalent of the ES-125T. This 1960 Epiphone Century is a wonderful example of this model, in excellent condition. Featuring a Spruce top, Mahogany body and set neck construction, this Century is lightweight and extremely comfortable to play. This production year was the first to use the Gibson P90 pickup, with the Century previously using the Epiphone 'New York' mini hum bucker style pickup. This guitar features the shorter headstock design and 'bikini' logo found on these early Gibson made Epiphone models. This guitar is in excellent condition, with some obvious signs of patina and lacquer checking, but very little play wear to speak of. It is internally and externally original, and includes a non original case. This guitar has been given a full service & appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
