One of the most iconic and sought after amplifiers of Fender's tweed era, this 1949 Fender Deluxe 'TV Front' model is a perfect example of the first generation of Fender amps after the 'Woody' model, manufactured between 1948 and 1953. This model is the 5A3 circuit, and sounds exactly as you would expect, with pristine cleans and a smooth, compressed breakup that people associate with this kind of amp.
This amp has had some changes over the years. It has been recapped and the original speaker has been replaced with a '90s Jenson equivalent. The vertical tweed covering and mohair grill cloth appear original, though the leather handle has been changed. There has also been a step down transformer fitted to the bottom of the cabinet, but the original 110V transformer remains in place.
