This beautiful 1946 Martin 000-18 is a great example of a guitar from Martin's golden age of craftsmanship. Constructed from a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, this guitar is a particularly lightweight and resonant example for a 000 model, with a top wood that has nicely aged over the years. This model also features a tortoise celluloid pick guard and binding.

This guitar is in very good condition, and has had then kind of play wear, repairs and general upkeep you would expect from a guitar of this age. This guitar has benefitted from both a neck reset and refret at some point in its life, and as such is playing excellently. As such, there has been some overspray on the neck heel and shoulders which is very common with neck resets. The original tuners have been replaced. the bridge and bridge plate are original, although the saddle has been replaced. There are also bass and treble side cracks that have been repaired.

As with all our vintage instruments, this 1946 000-18 has been given a full service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
