A very early Gibson made Mandolin with an incredibly woody and resonant tone. This 1921 Gibson A Style Mandolin is finished in Sheraton Brown and features the typical symmetrical teardrop body shape found on Gibson Mandolins of this period.

This particular model has had a fair amount of work over the years to keep it playing and sounding as good as it does. The fretboard has been replaced, as has the peghead veneer and logo. This bridge has been replaced, but both the tuners and the tailpiece are original to the instrument. The back wood has been removed and new braces have been fitted to restore the top. The back and sides have also had cracks repaired and have been refinished. The instrument is now in fantastic playing condition, and combines the tone and feel of a true pre-war vintage instrument with the robust construction of a new Mandolin.

This instrument also retains its original case.
