This 1910 Gibson A4 Mandolin is a very early example of one of the company's top of the line A style models, with an incredibly woody and resonant tone. This Gibson A4 Mandolin is finished in black with red stained mahogany back and sides and features the typical symmetrical teardrop body shape found on Gibson Mandolins of this period. The A4 features 'The Gibson' headstock logo and flour de lis crest design, along with inlaid tuner buttons, 'the Gibson' logo tailpiece and an elevated celluloid pick guard.

This mandolin is in excellent condition for an instrument that is over a century old, and shows only minor signs of play wear and patina to the finish. The original bridge has been replaced with a more modern equivalent, and at some point this instrument has been reglued where the back meets the bottom edge of the sides to correct some separation.

As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 2 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty. Get an additional 3 years workshop warranty cover with the No.Tom Guitars Extended Warranty
