Forever etched into music history thanks to John Lennon’s iconic use of its trem-equipped sibling (the 325) during the early Beatles era, the Rickenbacker 320 is one of the most distinctive and instantly recognisable electric guitars ever produced. As the hardtail variant of the 325, the Model 320 trades the vibrato tailpiece for a rock-solid, 'R'-stamped tailpiece and a six-saddle bridge, offering superior tuning stability while retaining every ounce of mid-century British Invasion jangle and charm.

Finished in Rickenbacker's classic high-gloss Jetglo (Black), this 1981 model features a semi-hollow Maple body. Sonically, it is an absolute rhythm guitar powerhouse. Fitted with three original Rickenbacker High-Gain single-coil pickups, it delivers that unmistakable "chime and jangle"

The real hallmark of the 320 is its unique 20.75" short scale length. Combined with a comfortable, fast-playing Maple neck and a lacquered Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, the reduced string tension makes complex jazz chords, fast rhythm vamps, and wide finger stretches feel completely effortless.

This 1981 example is in good, honest vintage condition. Showing its 45 years, the Jetglo finish retains its shine with lacquer checking, light handling wear, faint surface swirling, and minor finish scuffs. The fretboard has quite an aggressive chequeing but the frets remain in good condition.

Supplied with a hardshell case.
