1994 Fender Deluxe Lyte Bass (PJR Deluxe)

First introduced by Fender Japan in the late 1980s and running through the 1990s, the Precision Bass Lyte series represented a modern, high-performance departure from traditional vintage builds. Designed specifically for working bassists seeking maximum tonal flexibility without the shoulder strain! The Lyte Deluxe combined sleek ergonomic carving with FujiGen’s renowned Japanese build quality.

The defining feature of this Lyte Deluxe is its compact, lightweight Mahogany body finished in a smooth, clear satin coat that highlights its rich wood grain. Equipped with an active P/J pickup setup, featuring a split-coil Precision pickup in the middle and a single-coil Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge - controlled by a versatile active onboard EQ layout (Volume, Pickup Pan, Treble, and Bass boost/cut).

As seen in the photos, this 1994 "Made in Japan" example is in great, honest vintage condition. Having been carefully played over the last 32 years, it displays subtle handling marks, minor surface scratches, and light nicks around the body edges. The original gold hardware has aged into a wonderful, vintage patina, the neck is straight, and the active electronics function cleanly and quietly.
