Dobro resonators have long been regarded as some of the finest resonator instruments produced, standing alongside National as icons of American Blues. The Model 33H, often referred to as the "Hawaiian" model is one of the most recognisable and striking metal-body designs from the late 20th century.
This 1990 example features a nickel-plated brass body intricately etched with a classic Hawaiian motif, showcasing palm trees, clouds, stars, and a distant volcanic island landscape across the back and front upper bout. Outfitted with f-holes, a classic spider bridge, and round neck, this 33H delivers the bright, punchy, and metallic projection that defines the metal-body sound, while offering smooth playability for both slide and finger-style players.
This particular example remains in good original condition, with only minor signs of players wear, expected from an instrument of over 30 years old. It retains its original hard shell case.
This guitar has been given a full service & setup, by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
