This 1960s Alden Stratotone H45 was made in the same factory as the more commonly seen Harmony models, but carries Alden branding and its distinctive stencilled headstock. Unlike many Stratotone models, it is fitted with a DeArmond ‘Hershey Bar’ pickup, giving it a particularly distinctive vintage tone.
The hollow body delivers plenty of warmth and acoustic resonance, with a comfortable neck and classic 1960s styling. The guitar is generally in good condition, showing some play wear and natural lacquer checking. The original pickup was not working when the guitar arrived with us, but has since been professionally rewound to vintage correct specification and now sounds excellent.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 2 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
