The Atkin OO37s Relic is a beautifully hand crafted recreation of a classic pre war flat top, handmade by master luthier Alister Atkin in Kent, UK. Based on a 12 fret Martin style 00 body shape, it perfectly encapsulates the vintage looks and tone of these classic guitars.
Constructed from a torrified Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, the 00-37S Relic has an exceptionally full sound for a smaller body guitar, with great dynamics and a very responsive touch. The Mahogany neck features an Ebony fingerboard and a 24.7/8" scale length, equally at home for finger style players and strummers alike. The toned lacquer nitro finish gives the look of an instrument that has been well played and well loved for a number of years, with this thinner finish technique allowing the wood to resonate like a true vintage guitar would. A light relic and patina to the finish further adds to the overall vintage style of the instrument.
