The Fender Custom Shop are known for producing some of the best modern recreations of vintage instruments around, and this 2018 NAMM show Limited Edition 1965 Stratocaster is a fantastic example of their work. Featuring an Ash body finished in a Heavy Relic Olympic White lacquer, the Custom Shop Heavy Relic treatment accurately recreates years of heavy handed plan wear, with plenty of lacquer checking, wear through to the body wood, and colour fadeout. The quarter sawn Maple neck features a AAA round lam Rosewood fingerboard and a 1965 style 'C' shape neck profile, perfectly recreated by the Custom Shop luthiers. The tuners, hardware and mint 3 ply pick guard are all period correct and aged to match the finish, and the body is fitted with a set of hand wound Fender Custom 1965 Stratocaster single coil pickups for an authentic vintage tone.
This guitar is in all original condition and includes its Limited Edition certificate of authenticity, spec sheet and original black tolex Custom Shop case.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by the luthier at the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 3 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
