The Fender Custom Shop are known for producing some of the best modern recreations of vintage instruments around, and this 2017 Limited Edition '59 Special Stratocaster is a perfect example. Featuring an Alder body finished in a Journeyman Relic Aztec Gold lacquer, the Custom Shop Journeyman Relic treatment accurately recreates years of light plan wear and ageing from an instrument that has been well played, but also well looked after. The one piece AAA grade flamed Maple neck features a slab Rosewood fingerboard and a 1959 style 'C' shape neck profile, perfectly recreated by the Custom Shop luthiers. The tuners, hardware and pick guard are all period correct and aged to match the finish, and the body is fitted with a set of hand wound Fender Custom Shop Ancho Poblano Stratocaster single coil pickups for an authentic vintage tone. The electronics feature Special Strat Blender wiring, allowing the player to blend bridge and neck pickups in almost any position, with the "Greasebucket" master tone control circuit retains full gain, and Treble Bleed circuitry on the master volume control preserves tone at any setting.
This guitar is in all original condition and includes its certificate of authenticity, spec sheet and original blonde tolex Custom Shop case.
