As one of the most iconic songwriters in popular music, there are few people as deserving of a signature guitar as Bob Dylan. This limited run 2015 Players Edition SJ-200 model is a high performance, stage and studio ready acoustic based on Dylan's personal guitar and built to his specifications, combining both modern features and vintage Gibson style.
This SJ-200 is constructed from a Adirondack red spruce top and hand selected AAA grade flamed Maple back and sides. Paired with the SJ-200's jumbo body size, these tone woods give beautiful clarity and definition across the strings, while also offering plenty of volume. The Maple neck features a Rosewood board with a comfortable rounded neck profile, and is finished with traditional Bella Voce inspired mother of pearl fret inlays. The double pick guard design is another striking feature of vintage some vintage SJ-200 models, and features a hand painted motif, which along with the custom Bob Dylan eye logo headstock inlay really sets this guitar apart from other Gibson acoustics. Other features include an LR Baggs Anthem pickup system, vintage style moustache bridge, Grover Rotomatic tuners and the original hard case.
This guitar is in excellent condition with barely any signs of play wear to speak of, and has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
