The Fender Custom Shop are known for producing some of the best modern recreations of vintage instruments around, and this 2015 Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster is a fantastic example of their work. Featuring an Alder body finished in a in a vintage correct 3 tone sunburst lacquer, the Custom Shop Relic treatment accurately recreates years of play wear, with plenty of lacquer checking, colour fadeout and some small areas of wear through to the wood. The quarter sawn Maple neck features a AAA round lam Rosewood fingerboard and an early 1960 style 'Oval C' shape neck profile that fills out as you move up the neck, perfectly recreated by the Custom Shop luthiers. The tuners, hardware and faux celluloid 3 ply pick guard are all period correct and aged to match the finish, and the body is fitted with a set of hand wound Fender Custom 1960's Stratocaster single coil pickups for an authentic vintage tone.
This guitar is in all original condition and includes its Jason Smith signed certificate of authenticity, and original tweed tolex Custom Shop case.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by the luthier at the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 3 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
