First introduced in 1961, the Gibson SG has been a go to for players of all kinds for over half a century. This 2014 Gibson SG Standard model stays true to the original design, with a Mahogany neck and body design, nickel hardware and traditional trapezoid fretboard inlays. The body is finished in a traditional cherry stain that still shows the mahogany grain beneath. The body is fitted with a set of 490R & 498T pickups that are voiced for a more modern tone.
This guitar is in very good condition with barely any cosmetic signs of use, and retains its original case. It is all original save for the controversial robot tuners used during this period, which have been replaced with a set of vintage style Kluson tulip tip tuners. This guitar has benefitted from a service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
