A great example of the fantastic instruments produced by the Gibson Custom Shop, this 2014 Gibson Custom Shop R0 Les Paul VOS is a fantastic playing and sounding guitar. Designed to accurately recreate the much revered, and super collectible 1960 Les Paul Standard 'Burst,' this guitar features period correct construction and details that accurately recreate the feel, tone and looks of the original vintage examples for a fraction of the price.
Constructed from a one piece Honduras Mahogany body and a two piece AAA grade flamed Maple top, this guitar features the long neck tenon design, custom wound Custom Bucker pickups and the VOS finish treatment with aged binding and a hand wet sanded lacquer finish. The pickups perfectly capture the dynamic, articulate and mellow power of original PAFs, while the cherry sunburst finish with tight chevron flaming is reminiscent of the best, and most expensive, vintage Bursts. Other features include period correct ABR1 bridge lightweight aluminium tailpiece, vintage style plastic parts, single ring, single line Kluson style tuners, and a slimmer 1960 neck carve.
This particular guitar is an excellent weight and extremely resonant, and includes its original case and paperwork.
