This 2013 Gibson J-200M, built by the Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana, was one of a limited run of instruments that paired the tone and looks of the J-200 with the smaller body size of the J-165.
Constructed from a Spruce top and highly figured quilted Maple back and sides, this J-200M has a bright, focused tone with plenty of clarity, and is a particular comfortable guitar to play thanks to its smaller body size, with the lower bout measuring 14 7/8th". The Maple neck features a Rosewood board with a comfortable rounded neck profile, with vintage style crown fretboard inlays and the crown headstock logo found on J-200 models, although made from Paua shell rather than the usual mother of pearl. This guitar features a celluloid pick guard, with an elegant engraved flower design. Other features include tulip tip Kluson deluxe tuners, a traditional moustache bridge and its original Custom Shop hard case. This guitar is also factory fitted with an LR Baggs pickup system.
This guitar is in excellent condition with barely any signs of play wear to speak of, and has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
