This 2012 Recording King Nick Lucas is a recreation of the classic pre-war Gibson made Nick Lucas flat top acoustic. The Nick Lucas models are similar in style to an L-00, but with a deeper body. Constructed from a combination of a Sitka Spruce top with beautifully flamed maple back and sides works beautifully with the deep body design. String attack is quick, and notes are clear and well balanced across the frequency range, along with plenty of projection. Other features include deluxe Nick Lucas style pearl fretboard and headstock inlay, and vintage style tiger tripe pick guard and rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
This guitar is in very good condition and has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
