This 2011 Gibson ES-335 is a fantastic example of a modern made ES-335, from the last year of Memphis factory production, in exceptional condition. First introduced in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 has endured as the companies most popular semi hollow body model.
Constructed from a multi ply laminated Maple body with a Mahogany neck, this ES-335 is finished in a Tobacco Sunburst lacquer with dot fingerboard inlays, paying homage to the earliest vintage examples of these classic guitars. The body is fitted with a pair of Gibson made Classic '57 Humbuckers. The clean sound is warm and rich with plenty of dynamic response, while the smooth, lively sound when played driven tube amp gives an unmistakable blues rock tone that is incredibly versatile. This ES-335 features similar spec to earlier ES-335 models, with a tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece, bound rosewood fingerboard, and multi bound black pickguard.
This guitar is in very good condition with the exception of a headstock repair carried out by our luthiers, and includes the original case. This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
